Popular politician shot by a sleeping policeman in Kwara

Tragedy struck at a hotel in Oro, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State very more or less 11.15pm upon Friday like a policeman,  Yunus Muideen, allegedly shot dead, a  popular politician in the LGA, Femi Awoyale.

Awoyale was said to be a former Irepodun LG chairmanship aspirant out cold the Peoples Democratic Party. The tragedy was said to have resulted into pandemonium as youths of Oro town were said to have  protested following they heard of Awoyales death.


Our correspondent who visited the place considering auxiliary journalists upon Saturday however observed the presence of  opposed to-riot policemen and soldiers who had been deployed to the town to rearrange sham and order.

An eye witness who pleaded anonymity as he was not authorized to run journalists upon the matter, coarsely Saturday said  the paperwork of the hotel had invited policemen to ensure security of lives and property
at the hotel for Valentine fun seekers. He added that more or less 11.15pm coarsely speaking Friday, Muideen, a corporal,  who was said to have been sleeping after allegedly  beast drunk, was woken happening by noise from the vicinity.

It was learnt that the cop suspecting that the noise was from cause problems makers shot twice flying apparently to radio alarm the suspected hooligans. It was gathered that after the gun had hit the wall, bullets were discharged from the gun.  One of the missiles was said to have hit Awoyale in report to the order of the chest; who when fell the length of and died in the future he could be treated.
