STEPHEN KESHI SET TO RECALL HARUNA, REUBEN, ALUKO

Lukman Haruna (Dynamo Kiev midfielder), Gabriel Reuben (Kilmarnock), and Sone Aluko (Hull City) are set to make their return to the Super Eagles aerie during Nigeria friendly against Italy on November 18 at the Fulham Craven Cottage, London.

Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi, has said that he needs these players to help bring more competition in the team that is already one step into the 2014 World Cup.

“In every department of the Eagles, we need competition and we need players who can bring that competition. If Lukman is doing so well, we will bring him in.”

“We have people like (Gabriel) Rueben and Sone Aluko, who are doing well too, we will bring all of them in. They are Nigerians and they want to play and it’s a blessing for me and for the team,” The Punch quoted Keshi.

The Hull City hitman, Aluko, had told the BBC last month that he hopes to preserve his good form in order to increase his chances of getting a Super Eagles call. Meanwhile, Haruna’s teammate at Kiev Brown Ideye had opined early this week that Haruna needs a call up into the Eagles following his “good” form since the start of the season.
