However, the Barcelona star has disappointed many fans when he cancelled his “Messi and Friends” exhibition tour in Chicago. Fans shelled out $2,500 just for the ticket and were supposed to receive autographed jerseys and balls.

To make amends, the four-time FIFA world player sent an autographed jersey to his 9-year-old fan Hudson Sherwood. The jersey came with a message “Para Hudson de tu amigo Leo.” (For Hudson, from your friend Leo.)
Hudson is a huge fan of Messi who even went to Spain to watch Messi play. When he heard that Messi will have a tour in Chicago, his dad purchased a VIP ticket which comes with a meet-and-greet privilege with the player.
Moreover, thousands of his fans in Los Angeles also got snubbed after he canceled his scheduled tour last July 3. Those who bought the VIP ticket demanded a refund.
