So Wrong, So Wright Season Thrives on Secrets, Intrigues

It is another season of scheming and conspiracy as television drama series, So Wrong, So Wright journeys in its eighth season. After seven successful season of family entertainment, the new season, produced by Genesis Studios, starts with a time jump from where the last ends. Five years after the demise of Preye Wright, the new season explores how his family have progressed since their unfortunate loss. Sophia, Preye’s widow appears to have moved on after the death of her husband.

As the only parent in the family she is forced to rise up to the occasion of greater responsibility in keeping her family together and going. She is learning to become the strong pillar that she needs to be for her kids.

Sylvia, the family’s first child has now been married for two years but without a child. While she is under no pressure from her husband or in-laws, her desire for a child leads her to take some secret measures that eventually lead to the unravelling of other secrets.

While Tonye battles alcohol addiction as he tries to get his life and music career back on track again, he soon discovers that record labels and music industry execs largely want nothing to do with a washed up, has-been superstar. What becomes of him and how long can he stay clean?

Kare is fresh from law school and a newly employed lawyer in a reputable law firm. It is not long before she gets caught up in office politics and makes an enemy of the vindictive Omotola DaCosta.

Timi resumes as a Director at his late father’s company. He is to be groomed to take over the reins from the present MD, Engr. Adeleke. The role was actually meant for Tonye as first son, but has now fallen on a seemingly reluctant Timi. Engr. Adeleke also seems to have other ideas about Timi’s position in the establishment.

Producer of the series, Olaegbe Olatubosun describes the new season as one laced with morals, and life’s lessons even as it performs its primary objective of entertaining.

"Much like the others, this season comes with its own flavour of intrigue and suspense. It took a lot for us to put it together and the idea is for us to give viewers their worth. We are showing the eighth season now and we are currently shooting the ninth season," he said.

The award winning TV series which has been airing since 2009 stars the likes of Sola Fosudo, Age Anthony, Chiebolam Oragwa, Henry Arnold, Tomi Ojo and Tobi Ajayi. It airs on AIT Network on Wednesdays at 7pm.
