Emir Sanusi Donates Drug worth N20m for Victims of Kano Blast

Days after the deadly central Mosque attack in Kano, Emir of Kano Muhammed Sanusi II has donated drugs worth N20 million for the treatment of hospitalised victims of the attack. Emir Sanusi II went round bed to bed to personally sympathise with the victims and share their pain and stories.

He pledged the N20 million worth of drugs and enjoined people to continue to attend the mosque for their five daily and Jumat prayers. He said they should not relent on prayers for the end to insurgency and lasting peace.

Former Head of State Gen.  Muhammadu Buhari also visited the hospital yesterday. He described the attack as “extremely disgusting” and “heart wrenching”.

No fewer than 150 were killed and over 100 injured when suicide bombers and gunmen believed to be on Boko Haram errands detonated bombs and shot people during the Jumat prayer at the Central Mosque.
