President Jonathan declares 3days of mourning for Late Nelson Mandela


According to presidential spokesman, Dr.Reuben Abati
President Jonathan has declared three days of national mourning for former South African President, Dr. Nelson Mandela.Flags are to be flown at half-mast across Nigeria during the period.President Jonathan urges all Nigerians to unite in solidarity with the brotherly people of South Africa as they mourn the Madiba..
President Jonathan describes the late President Mandela as the great liberator, freedom fighter and hero of the black race.The President also calls for special prayers in mosques and churches in Nigeria during the period of mourning which begins today.A special inter-denominational memorial service for Dr. Mandela will be held at the State House Chapel on Sunday.

  5. Has US declared a 3 day national mourning period? Nigeria is doing that when we are the most corrupt nation inthe world and leaders can't even give us light or good roads.This is an insult to Mandela if they don't know
