P. Diddy is the richest hip hop artist in the world today with an estimated net worth of $580 million. Although P. Diddy is known to have one of the best business minds in showbiz, he has no problem forgoing some good investments for expensive yacht rentals. Back in 2011, P. Diddy decided to rent a yacht for $840,000 per week.

To most people, this is an insane amount of money to blow in a week on anything rental. However, if you are worth hundreds of millions of dollars like P. Diddy, $840,000 per week is not much. No wonder P. Diddy makes it to this list. He has proven to have way too much money.

6. Birdman ($2.1 million car)

Although most rappers have Bugatti Veyrons today, Birdman was the first rapper to own one back in 2010. He bought his for $2.1 million surpassing the original retail price by over $1 million. He paid extra for customization. Before 2010, buying a car over $1 million was unheard off. Birdman’s purchase proved that he was way ahead of other rappers in showbiz. Other rappers have had to work tirelessly since then to afford this pricey car.

As if a Bugatti Veyron wasn’t expensive enough, one year later (2011), Birdman bought the most expensive car in the world ($8 million Maybach Exelero). He however doesn’t make it to this list for that purchase because it was crowded with controversy. All in all, his $2.1 million Bugatti Veyron is enough to show that birdman has way too much money when you consider other recent purchases like a $14.5 million 19,000 square foot Miami beach mansion he bought in 2012.

5. Tom Cruise ($20 million Gulfstream jet for Katie Holmes)

Tom Cruise is one of the most successful male Hollywood actors known today. He is estimated to be worth $250 million as of 2013. This is lot of money for a movie star who isn’t so keen on acting more than two movies per year. No wonder he afforded one of the most extravagant wedding gifts in showbiz (a $20 million Gulfstream jet). Back in 2005, Cruise reportedly gifted Katie Holmes a jet. It doesn’t get more expensive than that when talking about wedding gifts with a possible split in the future.  Cruise proved he had way too much money back then. There is no doubt that he is still super rich considering Katie Holmes walked out of their 6 year (2006 – 2012) marriage with nothing.

4. Floyd Mayweather (Spent $605,000 on fight tickets for his friends)

Floyd Mayweather otherwise known as “Money Mayweather” will easily become the richest athlete this year when he receives in total $100 million for his latest 14th September 2013 fight against Saul Alvarez. Floyd Mayweather is known for leading a very luxurious lifestyle considering he has a fleet of expensive cars, expensive jewellery/watches and a $17 million dollar mansion in Las Vegas. He recently proved he has way too much money when he decided to spend a whopping $605,000 on fight tickets for his friends. Even though he earned a guaranteed pay of over $41 million, spending $605,000 is unthinkable unless you have way too much money. Nothing more needs to be said. Mayweather is super rich. Many would however wonder whether he contemplated loosing the fight before buying the tickets? Just a thought.

3. Beyonce ($40 million jet for Jay z)

Beyonce is undoubtedly rich considering she is one of the most successful female artists today. Her marriage with Jay Z makes her even richer. You wouldn’t however expect her to be willing to buy her husband a $40 million jet considering she is worth $300 million. Beyonce proved she has way too much money recently when she bought Jay Z a $40 million private jet on father’s day (2013). It doesn’t get more expensive than this when talking about expensive celebrity father’s day gifts. No wonder Beyonce’s purchase makes it to the top 3 spot in this list.

2. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ($62 million French Chateau)

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie can easily qualify as the richest movie couple in Hollywood today considering they are both worth over $500 million according to the latest estimates. Unlike other couples who are movie stars, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie aren’t afraid of blowing their cash on things they don’t really need. Considering they already have many homes, there was no need for them to buy a $62 million French Chateau for themselves and their 6 children. It doesn’t get more expensive than this for a celebrity billionaire when talking about transport toys. Donald Trump; an American business magnate and TV personality is one of the few celebrity billionaires in America who aren’t afraid to spend money. Back in 2011, Donald Trump spent $100 million to buy and customize a Boeing 757. A mind boggling amount even for a billionaire. Adding to the price was coating almost everything in the jet’s interior with 24 carat gold. Trump is known to have money, although he may have a lot more than most people think.
