Arsenal are readying a surprise move for Fulham forward Dimitar Berbatov according to Sports Direct News.
The 32 year old Bulgarian is reportedly unhappy with life at Craven Cottage and has been linked with a number of prospective suitors and now Arsene Wenger apparently sees the cultured forward as a possible short-term option to help beef up the Gunners attack.
The Emirates Stadium side are thought to have offered a one and a half year deal to the former Tottenham and Man United man, a deal that would surely tempt the experienced marksman.
Though a move for Berbatov would be something of a surprise there is no denying that the Fulham man exemplifies the style of football Arsene Wenger likes to play and with the North London club keen to strengthen their attack in January a move for the Craven Cottage star may be a cost effective option to consider, not least as he would be free to play in the Champions League.
