If you thought the Palm Island is the most expensive awesome thing Dubai has, think again. The total development cost of the 300 private islands of Dubai was $14 billion. Land reclamation alone cost $2 billion. The private islands reinvent the world offering ultimate exclusivity and privacy. You couldn’t ask for a better private address in the world if you had the opportunity to own one of the 300 private islands. No wonder The World makes it to the number one slot in this list.
Each island measures between 250,000 and 900,000 square feet in size which represents approximately 9 km in length and 6 km in width. The only mode of transport from one island to another is air or marine transport. Most islands have been sold.
