It happened on tuesday evening, as the chief was heading home from work to his house at Government Reserved Area (GRA) in Onitsha. It was said that while he was returning from work that evening, the gunmen trailed his car to the gate of his home.
The chief was not hurt, because my sources alleged that when they returned, one of the drivers in his convoy went out with a black Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and the gunmen opened fire on him thinking the chief was inside the vehicle.
As god would have it despite the car being riddled with over 60 bullets (as reported by my olofofos) and even the driver being scraped by a bullet on the head, he didnt die, but only recieved a severe shot on his arm. It would be recalled that the CEO of Young shall grow motors Chief Vincent Obianodo was almost assasinated in the same fashion about 2 months ago.
