My name is ??????,MFR i was born on May 3, 1979) am a Nigerian actress. In 2005 i won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. CNN states that i am referred to as the "Julia Roberts of Africa.
I was born in Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria but grew up in Lagos, Nigeria,i am the fourth of eight children and i was brought up in a middle class environment.my father worked as an engineer and my mother as a teacher.i attended Methodist Girls College Yaba, Lagos before heading onto the University of Lagos. While at the university i began auditioning for acting jobs amongst the many Nollywood projects
i started my acting career as a child actress in the then popular television soap opera Ripples at the age of 8. In 1998 at the age of 19 i was introduced into the growing Nigerian film industry with the movie “Most Wanted”.my subsequent movies include Last Party, Mark of the Beast and Ijele. In 2010 i starred in the award winning film Ijé: The Journey. i have starred in over 80 Nollywood movies. i am considered to be one of the best paid actresses in Nollywood. In 2004 i signed a recording contract with EKB Records, a Ghanaian record label, and released my debut album One Logologo Line, a mix of R&B, Hip-Hop and Urban music.
